Carmean
Thirty years in graphic arts shaped the eye. Oil painting gave it another language.
Steve worked in the graphic arts field in Columbus, Ohio for three decades before discovering oil painting in 2017. First influenced by Edward Hopper, his work evolved toward a recognizable visual fingerprint built on geometry, contrast, and atmosphere.
His work has been shown at High Road Gallery, The Arts Castle, Global Gallery, the Ohio State Fair, Riverside Hospital, Bleu & Fig, and The Artists of Goodale Park, where he was awarded First Prize.
